Spookfish Ltd (ASX:SFI) chief executive Jason Waller speaks to Proactive Investors about the innovative aerial imagery company's latest commercial operations and achievements.
"Our product is designed to give the truth that’s on the ground. So people would tend to try and find what’s going on with regards to engineering projects, or a housing development or property, by going out to the site, and that’s expensive and it’s not particularly productive. It’s much more efficient to look at an image on the screen from your laptop in your office, or on your iPad or mobile device, and we provide that service. So it saves on site visits, and typically people have been used to doing this using satellites, but our imagery is much higher resolution and we can capture it at much lower cost and therefore pass on those benefits to our customers," says Waller.
Spookfish was last week awarded its most valuable contract to date, worth over $500,000 with the NSW Government Spatial Services. In the US, the company has partnered with EagleView Technologies, with camera systems being rolled out now and royalties due to begin flowing following market validation.
From a technological standpoint, Spookfish is developing its offerings through low-cost, high-resolution 3D mapping, as well as machine learning to enhance analytics.
