Flexiroam Ltd (ASX:FRX) is continuing its aggressive push of its data roaming products into the Asian travel market by forming a strategic partnership with internet marketing company Netccentric Ltd (ASX:NCL).

Flexiroam enables travellers to bypass roaming charges around the world.

Today's deal will be marketed via Netccentric's AroiMakMak.com, a travel resource for international travellers in Bangkok to market and distribute Flexiroam’s data roaming solution, Flexiroam X.

Flexiroam X is an interesting technology, whereby users apply a thin microchip-embedded film to their existing SIM, allowing them to switch over to Flexiroam’s partnering networks for data access.

The objective of the partnership is to increase the number of Flexiroam X subscribers across the region.

Thailand represents a significant market opportunity for Flexiroam as one of Asia’s leading tourist hubs.

Flexiroam currently provides budget roaming services in Asia Pacific to more than 800,000 subscribers, generating revenues of about $8.3 million at 31 March 2016, representing 240% compound annual growth rate over four years.

With over 1.4 billion outbound travellers anticipated globally by 2019, of which many will be first time travellers, Flexiroam will be targeting the growing data and voice roaming market.

It is estimated that by 2019, the data and voice roaming market will be worth US$139 billion, with data making up over 35% at US$50 billion.

Flexiroam has a strong balance sheet, with $6.7 million cash as at 31 March 2016.
